Student running club in Oslo

Run with other students. Meet new friends. Try your first session for free.

OSI Friidrett is the running group of Oslo Students' Sports Club. We welcome local, international and Erasmus exchange students, from beginners to experienced runners. You can take part in English - you do not need to speak Norwegian.

Whether you are in Oslo for one semester or longer, join us for social runs and interval training. We also work with SK Vidar to offer more training opportunities.

Weekly student training - autumn 2026

  • Monday at 17:00: interval training. Our usual meeting point is Voldsløkka.
  • Wednesday at 17:00: social run. The meeting point varies; sessions may start at Sognsvann or Bislett.

All times are local Oslo time. Allow around an hour, and check the weekly post for the exact plan, meeting point and any changes. Additional sessions and social activities are announced on Slack.

How to join your first run

  1. Open the Slack invitation and join our shared workspace with SK Vidar.
  2. Find the #student channel and read the latest Monday or Wednesday post. Follow the sign-up instructions in that post.
  3. Bring running shoes and clothes for the weather. Introduce yourself when you arrive so we can help you find the right group.

Your first trial session is free. You can try one session before registering as a member. Beginners are welcome; ask us about the pace and distance if you are unsure which session suits you.

The autumn 2026 student fee is NOK 100 for OSI Friidrett + NOK 120 for OSI central membership, a total of NOK 220 per semester. Membership gives you access to training and social activities. See the membership information for details.
